Traveling to Covington, LA (Part 2)

It was a beautiful day to explore downtown Covington. We started off by visiting the farmers market that is held every Saturday. Live music and people sampling their wares. Lady Gwynivere purchased some fancy soaps made from olive oil. We also visited a merchant selling delicious italian made cookies and pastries. We bought some fig cookies from there that look amazing.

We hit a few shops after leaving the farmers market. The renaissance antiques shop had a couple of things we wanted. We stopped by the natural food market and the History Antiques store. Mo's Art Supply was a great shop to stop at for anyone who is interested in painting. Lady Gwynivere bought a really nice Weston Half French Easel at a great price, which is something she has been needing.

We stopped for lunch around 2pm at the English Tea room. You should definitely have reservations before going here because it took quite a while to get a table without one. It was an excellent cuppa however. I had Scottish Breakfast black tea and Lady Gwynivere had Versailles Lavender Earl Grey. For lunch we both had the spinach and artichoke quiche with a scone that was really good.

Tonight we are having dinner at the Annadele Restaurant. Looking forward to going down stairs to the neat pub and knocking back perhaps a couple of pints or maybe even a Mint Julep before dinner. We'll see.
