Traveling to Covington, LA (Part 1)

My wife and I are staying at the lovely Annadele Plantation in Covington, LA for the weekend. So far the plantation is a beautiful place and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The food is outstanding!

As soon as we got into Covington, we went straight to the Abita brewing company for the brewery tour. This was an awesome experience. Not only do you get to see how the beers are made but get all the free samples of their brews that you want...turbo dog, andygator, abbey ale...it was beer paradise. I love imported english ales and abita is one of the few domestic beers that closely match the taste of those traditional english ales.

Today we are heading out to the historic district of Covington. Some places on the list are the english tea room, the farmers market and antique shops!
